Hope Hope's
Story:
Update
7/3/2008 - Hope is doing well and is still hospitalized getting the medical attention she needs and so deserves. Her progress is good and this happy-go-lucky girl has adjusted well to her situation and is loving any and all attention she can get. We do have a projected cost of the surgery and boarding for Hope, which is $2000. Dr. Parker has kindly and generously given us a substantial discount for this.

Update
5/3/2008 - Hope had her first surgery on 4/30/2008.
Dr Parker is hoping it will be her only surgery, but time will tell. Hope has
special splints on both legs and will need to remain hospitalized where she can
be monitored and the splints can be adjusted as needed.
This
is Hope, a beautiful 3-4 month old purebred female Labrador who was in a shelter
in rural Kentucky. She captured the hearts of everyone who met her and a volunteer
driver for Patriot reached out to ask if we could help her. We, of course, said
yes and our transport coordinator got immediately to work on an emergency transport
to get her into Memphis, TN to see our orthopedic vet surgeon there, the amazing
Dr. Parker. Dr. Parker has already confirmed that he is willing to take her case
on and she will see him on Monday, April 28th. Once we know what the prognosis
is, we will start a fundraiser for 'Our Lady Hope'.
